Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This page explains exactly how PARKSEASY handles your personal data.

Last Updated: July 10, 2026  |  Effective: July 10, 2026

Plain English Summary: PARKSEASY only collects what is needed to run the platform. PARKSEASY never sells user data. Users can request deletion anytime by emailing privacy@parkseasy.co.in.

1 Information PARKSEASY Collects

When users access or register on PARKSEASY, PARKSEASY collects the following types of data:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and password (hashed) during registration.
  • Profile Data: Phone number, city, and vehicle type provided by users.
  • Listing Data: Parking spot address, photos, pricing, and amenities when listing a space as a Host.
  • Transaction Data: Records of unlock fee payments (₹99/₹399), including payment reference IDs. PARKSEASY does not store card numbers or CVVs.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, search queries entered, and features used — collected to improve platform reliability.
  • Device Data: Browser type, IP address, and operating system — utilized for platform security and fraud prevention.

2 How PARKSEASY Uses Data

PARKSEASY uses data strictly to operate and enhance services:

  • To create and secure user accounts.
  • To connect vehicle owners with parking spot hosts when an unlock fee is completed.
  • To process contact unlock fee payments securely via certified gateways.
  • To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, support replies, tax invoices).
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse on the platform.
  • To improve search results, listing quality, and overall user experience.
  • To send periodic product updates (users may unsubscribe at any time).

3 Cookies & Tracking

PARKSEASY uses browser localStorage (not traditional HTTP tracking cookies) to store session tokens and preferences:

  • Session Token: A JWT token stored in localStorage to keep sessions active. Cleared on logout.
  • Preferences: User "Remember Me" email preference, if opted in.
  • No Third-Party Ad Trackers: PARKSEASY does not use Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, or third-party advertising trackers.
  • Analytics: PARKSEASY may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns without personal tracking.

Stored local data can be cleared at any time by logging out or clearing browser storage.

4 Data Sharing & Third Parties

PARKSEASY never sells personal data. Data is only shared in these limited circumstances:

  • Host ↔ Driver Contact Sharing & Disclaimer: When a driver (parking finder) pays an unlock fee, the host's (landlord's) phone number is revealed to that specific driver only for direct parking coordination. Similarly, the driver's name is shared with the host. Disclaimer of Liability: PARKSEASY acts solely as a discovery facilitator and is strictly not responsible or liable if any third party uses, shares, or misuses the phone numbers or personal details revealed between landlords (hosts) and parking finders (drivers). Users communicate directly at their own discretion.
  • Payment Processors: Payment transactions are handled by certified gateway partners (Cashfree Payments). Gateways adhere to strict PCI-DSS privacy policies.
  • Google OAuth: When signing in with Google, Google shares name and email per standard OAuth 2.0 terms.
  • Legal Requirements: PARKSEASY may disclose data only if required by a court order or applicable Indian law.

5 Data Security

  • Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes — never in plain text.
  • All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
  • Authentication uses signed JWT tokens with expiry.
  • Database access is restricted to server-side processes only.
  • Payment card data is never stored on PARKSEASY servers — handled entirely by PCI-DSS compliant gateways.

6 Data Retention

  • Active Accounts: Retained as long as the account remains active.
  • Deleted Accounts: Personal data is anonymized within 30 days of account deletion.
  • Transaction Records: Kept for 7 years as required by Indian financial regulations.
  • Support Conversations: Retained for 2 years to assist with customer inquiries.

7 User Rights

Under the Indian Personal Data Protection framework and applicable regulations, users have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of data held in PARKSEASY records.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request account and personal data deletion ("Right to be Forgotten").
  • Portability: Receive personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing notifications at any time.
